      MHCC Receives $2.1 million Grant from US Department of Education

      MHCC has been selected to receive a US Department of Education Title III grant totaling more than $2 million under the federal government's “Strengthening Institutions Program,” which provides resources to aid colleges in serving low-income students. MHCC will receive approximately $430,000 each year for what is anticipated as a five-year grant.

      MHCC Hires New Head Softball Coach

      Last month, Mt. Hood Community College's long-time head softball coach Meadow McWhorter announced she was taking the top position at Portland State University. This month, MHCC found a new head coach who also has deep PSU roots: former top collegiate player Brittany Hendrickson has been named as the new head coach for the Saints.

Hood Community College’s Fall Term – which begins on September 26 – are invited to get a jump-start in the enrollment process during MHCC’s Registration Week event – which runs from July 12-14, and includes extended evening hours for students unable to reach the campus prior to 5:00 p.m.
