• Mt. Hood Community College Student Nursing Association to Hold One-day Career Conference

    Gresham, Ore. – The Mt. Hood Community College Student Nurses Association is inviting past, present and potential nursing students to a one-day career conference this Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 9am-3pm. The conference will feature healthcare related guest speakers, discussions on options for BSN transfer degrees with various schools, and a chance to speak with vendors about possible job opportunities.

    The conference will take place in the Town and Gown room and will feature keynote speakers Dr. Nathalie Johnson, who will be speaking about patient vs. provider perspective, and Luccia Soppe on alternative therapies. There will also be a NCLEX review with a HURST representative.

    The conference costs  $25 at the door. Lunch will be provided in the cafeteria with the options being traditional or vegetarian lasagna with salad and breadsticks.

    Tickets for door raffle prizes will be available at the door including a chance to win a HURST N-CLEX review.
