Aquatic Center

  • The Aquatic Center consists of an indoor natatorium which includes a 25yd. 6 lane competitive pool, an instructional pool, a hydrotherapy pool, and locker rooms with showers. Our outdoor swimming pool is an Olympic size 50 meter pool with depths ranging from 6ft to 17ft. Whether you’re looking for a place to swim laps, take a water exercise class, swim lesson or enjoy our open recreation swim there’s something for everyone.

    Children's Programs

    The aquatic programs at the aquatic center offers a wide variety for ages 8 months through Teens. We have the most comprehensive swim lesson program in East County, providing water adjustment, pre-competitive stroke training, safety and tween training classes.

    Adult Programs

    The aquatic center provides a wide range of adult classes, including beginning swimming lessons, pre-competitive training, and Water Exercise classes for all ability levels. We also offer swimming lessons for teens and opportunities for safety training.

    Mt. Hood Aquatic Center Day Camps

    We are offering a winter day camp in December! If you are working or need some extra time to prepare for the holidays, enroll your kids in our camps and give yourself a little space. Our winter camp is designed to fit your needs; register only for the days you want. We also offer Early Drop-off and Late Stay for those who need it.

    Rentals & Birthday Parties

    The aquatic center offers a variety of birthday party packages to assure your child a fun filled day. Our facilities are available for rentals for special events, trainings, meeting, and corporate parties. Check out our expanded offerings.

    Lifeguard Training & Safety Classes

    Are you interested in becoming a certified lifeguard or swim instructor?  We offer certification classes throughout the year including Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor, Water Exercise, CPR and First Aid. 

    College Courses

    The Health, Physical Education, Athletics, Aquatics and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of aquatic-related classes for credit. Classes include water exercise, swimming, water safety and Lifeguarding. Go to MyMHCC for complete listings.

    Private Lessons

    Do you want some one on one help? Or need some flexibility when you have lessons? Private lessons just may be what you are looking for! Whether it is for your child or yourself, we can find someone whom can work on skills in a personal setting.

    Rock Wall

    Did you know MT. Hood Community College has an indoor Rockwall? The Rockwall has 2,000 square feet of climbing and features 20 top rope stations, 2 roofs, a running crack, and a chimney. The climbing wall routes are designed for beginners, intermediate, and advanced climbers.
