• Mt. Hood Community College to Host College Night for High School Juniors and Seniors

    Gresham, Ore. - Choosing the right college is a decision that has become increasingly challenging for families throughout the nation. Finding the right college that matches the needs of the college-bound student in incredibly important, regardless of whether that college is two-year, four-year, public or private. To help families make the right choice, Mt. Hood Community College, in partnership with the Educational Credit Management Corporation (ECMC), is hosting College Night on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015 from 5:30-8pm in the Visual Arts Theater on the Gresham campus.

    College Night is designed for specifically for high school juniors and seniors, along with their parents or guardians. Key information and strategies will be shared for accessing, attending and paying for college regardless of what college a student wishes to attend. Included in the evening's program are presentations on:

    • Why College is Important
    • Choosing the Right College for You
    • Understanding the Financial Aid Process
    • Scholarship Searches and Scams

    Free pizza will be served starting at 5:30pm, and at the end of the event, there will be a drawing for three $500 scholarships for those in attendance. Parking is free for all attendees.
