College Now: Dual Credit Program

College Now Overview

The College Now program at Mt. Hood Community College provides high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to get a head start on their college experience. Students take college level coursework from MHCC approved high school instructors. All College Now courses are taken in the students’ high school classroom and they receive credit from both schools. This unique opportunity is described in detail in the College Now Student Handbook: www.mhcc.edu/docs/collegenow/studenthandbook.pdf.

High school instructors interested in becoming College Now instructors please review the College Now Program Manual for details: www.mhcc.edu/docs/collegenow/programmanual.pdf.

College Now 2012-2013 Fee Waiver Application

MHCC was awarded a small grant to assist high school students with the $35 College Now fee during the 2012-2013 academic year. Students who participate in the National School Lunch Program at their high school can apply to have the fee waived. There are a limited number of waivers available so each request will be reviewed and waivers will be granted on a case-by-case basis.

Students who submit a Fee Waiver Application will likely receive a bill for the $35 College Now fee. This is an automatic process upon registration and does not mean the fee was not waived. If students receive a second bill, please contact the College Now Office to verify the waiver was processed. If a submitted Fee Waiver Application is denied, the student will receive written notification.
