Rho Theta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society
Honors Regalia Information
Congratulations on earning a degree or certificate from Mt. Hood Community College. Graduates who are members of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society of two-year colleges, often choose to wear honors regalia with their cap and gown at the commencement ceremony.
Are you a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society? If so, please read this information about the special honors regalia that you may be eligible to wear. Am I eligible to wear honors regalia? Phi Theta Kappa members whose cumulative grade-point average is 3.0 or higher may wear the wide gold honors stole ($24), the gold tassel ($10) and the Phi Theta Kappa key medallion ($25).
Am I eligible to wear honor cords? You may wear the double honor cords ($15) only if your Mt. Hood Community College cumulative grade-point average is 3.65 or higher as of the end of winter term.
How can I purchase regalia? You can order directly from the Phi Theta Kappa store by using your membership number to log into the website www.ptk.org, or you may buy regalia through Rho Theta, MHCC’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, and save some money on shipping. Rho Theta is a student-run organization, but the officers will hold extra office hours for regalia sales. Regalia sales will be held in early May, and the regalia will be available on a first come, first served basis until all items have been sold. The sales schedule will be sent by email to Rho Theta members who have applied for graduation.
The officers of Rho Theta congratulate you on your accomplishments. We wish you the best and brightest future possible.
