  • Dear Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) General Educational Development (GED) & Adult High School Diploma (AHSD) Graduate,

I am honored and delighted to extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on earning your GED credential or your AHSD diploma. You worked hard to reach this milestone, and you are to be applauded for your perseverance. Many of life’s most satisfying successes are the result of hard work, commitment and diligence. Your dedication to completing your GED/AHSD Diploma is commendable.

To celebrate this accomplishment, MHCC invites you to participate in the GED/AHSD Graduation ceremony on Friday, June 16, 2017. The ceremony will be held at the MHCC Gresham Campus in the Earl L. Klapstein Track and Field Stadium on NE 17th Drive, which is located off of 257th Drive / Kane Road. On the day of the ceremony, all graduates should report to the gymnasium by 6:15 p.m. The ceremony will begin promptly at 7 p.m.

    Seating and Guest Information
Seating is by general admission; therefore, tickets are not required. The stadium gates will open at 8:45 a.m. Special limited seating areas will be provided for mobility-impaired guests. No more than one individual may sit with the guest in these special seating areas.

    The seating areas are:

    • on the track for which guests must park in an adjacent disability parking lot
    • in the top rows of the general stadium seating area

MHCC will provide appropriate seating arrangements and an interpreter for hearing-impaired guests in the stadium.

Guests may bring blankets and/or chairs for overflow seating on the lawn. Nancy’s Florist will sell graduation items and flowers at the main entrance. Food concession stands will sell various food and drinks.

There is ample free parking throughout the Gresham Campus with disabled parking available in the stadium parking lots as well as in other areas of the campus. In addition, there is a disability parking lot to accommodate mobility-impaired guests who wish to sit in the limited reserved seating area on the track.
