ART117 :  Basic Design III: Three- Dimensional

This studio course is an introduction to the basic concepts of three-dimensional design. This class begins with projects that investigate the fundamental concepts and utilization of the formal elements of line, point, planes and mass which then provides the foundation to work with space, content and function. Assigned projects help develop an understanding of sculptural and design considerations while expanding conceptual and material ability. Demonstrations, lectures and critical discussions contribute to developing a working vocabulary relating to all three-dimensional design concerns. Offered at irregular intervals.
