ART234 :  Life Drawing I

This course introduces the student to drawing the human form. Students follow drawing methods that lead to observational documentation of the human form's proportion, mass and structure. Students explore visual language elements of line and value as enhancements to structure, issues in light, perspective, surface anatomy and essential skeletal structures. Students are required to write in response to reading material regarding the history of anatomy for artists and to analyze the translation of visual observation. Sequential.
