BA211 : Principles of Accounting I

This is an introductory accounting course designed to serve
students who plan to pursue an associate degree in a business area and/or
transfer to an undergraduate degree program in any area of business. This course
emphasizes external financial reporting for business enterprises. Information
gathering, recording and financial statement preparation are covered with an
emphasis on understanding, interpreting and applying accounting information.

Prerequisite: RD090, WR090 and MTH020, each with a grade of "C" or better; or
placement above stated course levels. Co-requisite: BA101 and either BA131,
CIS120L, or BT210ZEA or higher.
