BA231 :  Information Technology/Business

This course presents business professionals with the basic concepts and skills for the strategic use of information systems in the organization. This course describes how information systems can be applied to business processes by supporting communications, improving decision making and increasing organizational performance. The components and development of the appropriate personal, workgroup and enterprise systems are examined. Additional lab time is required for hands-on applications experience in the use of information and computer technology for communication and decision making.
Prerequisite: BA131 or CIS120. Students should have access to a PC, web browser internet connection, email address, experience with computers, experience with the Windows operating system and the internet.
