ECE258 :  Developmentally Appropriate Practices

The principles of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) are the foundation for professionalism and the heart of the definition of high quality in early childhood education. Students will use the principles of DAP to analyze environments, interactions, curriculum and guidance practices for congruence with these standards and discuss links with outcomes for children and society.
Prerequisite: RD090 and WR090, each with a grade of "C" or better, or placement above stated course levels; and ECE236 and ECE261.
