HT242 :  Supervisory Management for the Hospitality Industry

This course will enable hospitality and tourism students to learn skills necessary for effective supervision and be able to use them in their work situations. Self-development, role of the supervisor, management and leadership skills are a focus. The class will examine communication, decision making, planning, controlling, team building, time management and staff development. Curriculum for this class reviews actual experiences and current examples of effective management supervision.
Prerequisite: RD090, WR090 and MTH020, each with a grade of "C" or better; or placement above stated course levels.
