• Steps to Getting Started


  • Step 1: Apply to Mt. Hood Community College

    Complete the general admission application at my.mhcc.edu/admissions to get your MyMHCC username and password. Check your email for a welcome letter from register@mhcc.edu within 2 business days* of completing the application.

    *Provide your social security number on the application for faster service.

    Step 2: Navigate Your Next Steps

    Use your MyMHCC username and password to sign in to Navigate, which will guide you through your next steps including:

    • Applying for financial aid & VA benefits
    • Completing the Accuplacer Placement Test or transferring credits to MHCC from another college
    • Setting up your account to receive important text message and email alerts from MHCC
    • Where to go for first-term advising
    • And much more!

    Step 3: Get Oriented

    Before you can register for your first term at MHCC, you must complete the online orientation. This interactive orientation takes most students 20-30 minutes to complete.

    After completing the online orientation and other steps such as placement testing, visit the HUB for assistance with first-term advising, online registration, and completing financial aid steps. Transfer students need to complete the steps on mhcc.edu/TransferToMHCC before visiting the HUB for registration help.
