Karlie Way“After researching other schools to attend for a culinary program, I finally decided to go with Mt. Hood Community Colleges Hospitality and Tourism program.  This program offers a catering certificate, which you can complete in a year.  This option worked well with my lifestyle, being that I am a stay at home mom and my time at home is valuable.  I don’t have to spend a lot of time outside my home, its affordable and I connect with my children who also share an interest in cooking.   I am really glad I choose to come to Mt. Hood Community College to add a new chapter to my families future…” - Karlie Way, 27

Rachael Briston“ I am so glad I found this program! It has offered everything I want to do and I can see myself going far with this degree….” -Rachael Bristol, 23

“I love the Hospitality program at Mt. Hood.  Since Mt. Hood is so big and a commuter school, people are coming and going and its not always easy to make strong connection with people like you would living in a dorm going to a 4 year college.  But, the people I have met in this program I truly consider friends.  Since we're in the same program, we have the same goals but its also a nice mix of age and personality types.  And the classes are so much fun and some of the things we do in them is just crazy.  This program is the perfect mix of text book learning and also interaction with class mates.  I have taken all kinds of classes at Mt. Hood and these are definitely my favorite….” -Alex Savory, 22

Alyssa Hurly“The Hospitality and Tourism Program has opened my eyes to many different opportunities within the hospitality industry. Over the summer I was an intern at the Heathman Lodge. That experience gave me knowledge in the hotel department, along with meeting new people. As a second year student, I have met amazing people that have become some of my best friends. There's nowhere else I'd rather be than with people I love and learning about something I love. I'm looking forward to what the future has in store for me….” -Alyssa Hurly, 20
