Where (and How) Do I Take Software Classes?

Each program in the Office Management area requires you to take several one-credit software classes through the Software Training Center (STC). These one-credit classes are offered in the first five weeks (Sec. 05) and the second five weeks (Sec. 51) each term. You will attend a mandatory 45-minute orientation scheduled in the first week of each of these sessions (see schedule below) each time you take an STC class.

You will spend an average of two to four hours per week in the STC working on software applications (day, evening, and Saturday hours are available). With the help of instructors and trained lab assistants, you will progress through the assignments on a paced schedule for completion within the five-week period.

The Software Training Center is located in Room 2610 (right next door to the keyboarding room) on the main campus. It is open six days per week. The hours are: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The STC courses are listed in schedule of courses for each term in the section marked Business Technology. Additional information about the orientation sections for each term is listed as well. An example of that information is as follows:
