Threat Assessment of Students of Concern

A threat assessment team has been established to investigate, evaluate and manage situations of concern in order to develop strategies to ensure a safe campus and protect students, employees and community members from random acts of violence. Individuals may report any troubled and/or potentially dangerous students on a Student of Concern form to the counselors and the associate vice president of Student Services, who immediately review the concern to determine the severity and take one or more of the following actions: 1) reach out to the student, 2) convene the threat assessment team to evaluate the threat and establish a plan, or 3) keep the information on file to be alert to emerging patterns of behavior.
