  • MHCC Foundation Scholarships

Higher education is beyond reach for many Oregonians. The Mt. Hood Community College Foundation awards scholarships every year to students who may not otherwise afford an education.

    Apply for 2018-19 Scholarships!

Scholarships are still available for the 2018-19 school year! If you missed the Priority Application Period, you can apply now through October 12 to be considered for the remaining scholarships.

    APPLY NOW

    How to Prepare

    1. Apply for admission to MHCC
The application is free and does not commit you to coming to MHCC. After you complete the application, you'll receive an email with instructions on how to log in to your account and check your student email, which is how we'll be communicating with you.
    2. Find two references
References can be teachers, faculty, staff, mentors, coaches, employers, etc. You will need the name and email address of each reference. Once you enter this information into your scholarship application, the system with send an automated email to each reference with a recommendation form to complete. We highly recommend contacting your references in advance to ask if they are willing to provide a recommendation for you..
    3. Get a copy of your unofficial transcript (new students only)
High school seniors, transfer students, and any student who has not yet completed at least one graded course at MHCC must upload an unofficial transcript to their scholarship applications.
    4. Complete the FAFSA
Visit https://fafsa.ed.gov/ to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online and list the MHCC school code: 003204. You will still be considered for many MHCC Foundation scholarships even if you do not complete a FAFSA. However, completing the FAFSA may increase the number of scholarships you are eligible for.
