    Earns NWAC 2015-16 President’s Cup

For the second time in the past three seasons, the Mt. Hood Community College Saints have won the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) President’s Cup, which is awarded to institutions based on their academic performance. MHCC took the President’s Cup in the large school division, which is for colleges that offer eight or more sports.

Points are awarded for student-athletes who complete 36 credits, 72 credits, complete a certificate or a degree. A student-athletes’ GPA determines the amount of points awarded.

The Saints won the President’s Cup in the 13-14 season as well, and came in second during the 14-15 season.
“We’re thrilled to have once again won the NWAC President’s Cup,” said MHCC athletic director Kim Hyatt. “It’s a testament to our commitment to success both in the classroom and during competition.”

The college will be presented with a cup and banner on November 15th at 3:00 p.m. in the MHCC Gymnasium. Faculty, staff and students are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
