“Columbia River Colors” features some 80 paintings – all of them for sale – that were selected by juror Paul Jackson. Jackson, a well-known American contemporary watercolorist, chose the displayed paintings from more than 300 submissions. All participating artists are based in Oregon.

The WSO was founded in 1966 with 85 artists; today, the society includes more than 800 members. WSO members organize exhibitions and art education events, both for members and the general public. Semi-annual WSO exhibitions are held throughout Oregon, allowing both rural and urban residents to experience and enjoy quality original artworks and meet the artists.
