Public Notice - Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities Evaluation

The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) will perform a year seven comprehensive evaluation of institutional effectiveness accreditation visit to Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) Oct. 18-20. An NWCCU evaluation team will review documents and meet with students, faculty, staff, management, and the Mt. Hood Community College Board of Education. The purpose of the visit is to evaluate MHCC’s compliance with NWCCU accreditation standards and policies.

The public is invited to provide comments on MHCC’s qualifications for accreditation. NWCCU accepts third-party comments up to 10 days before the start date of the evaluation visit electronically on the NWCCU website or by mail at the address below:

MHCC is accredited through NWCCU and was last reaffirmed in 2017. MHCC completed its mid-cycle evaluation in 2019 and underwent its year six standard two: policies, regulations, and financial review (PRFR) in 2022. MHCC’s year seven self-evaluation report will be submitted to NWCCU in August. The report will be available on MHCC’s website prior to the October evaluation visit.
