New Student Advising and Registration Workshops

Welcome to Mt. Hood Community College! This is the next step for getting started at MHCC

The purpose of this workshop is to prepare you to successfully:

  • Place into the appropriate core math, reading and writing classes
  • Contact the departments where you are interested in applying for degree programs
  • Use MHCC's online advising tools to pre-plan your classes for your degree of choice
  • Register for classes each term

Note: If English is not your first language and you took the LOEP test only, then you should meet individually with Julie Vawser, 503-491-7333, in the ABS dept. (AC 2660) or with an Adviser in the Advising Center (AC 2253) before you register for a workshop.

If you place into ABE please meet with an Adviser in the Advising Center (AC 2253).

Students receiving Educational Benefits (G.I. Bill) from the Department of Veteran Affairs please contact the Veteren Services office in room 54 or via email: veteran.services@mhcc.edu
