ENG107:  World Literature: The Classical World (Seventh Century B.C. to 1200 A.D.)

This course introduces students to an array of Sumerian, Greek, Hindu, Hebrew, Asian, Arab and European classical literature, such as Gilgamesh, Lao Tzu, the "Bhagavad Gita," the "The Quran" and the Japanese Pillow Book. While discussing themes and concerns significant to people of every culture and time within the context of extremely diverse attitudes and tastes, students explore the various characteristics of both classicism and great literature.
