HT142 :  Travel and Tourism Agency Operations

This course provides the student with an overview of today's travel professional. It examines various career opportunities that currently exist, along with what training, education, certification and licensing is required to succeed in this career. The course examines various organizations that partner with travel professionals to provide the best travel plans for the client. Students review the differences in operation and requirements needed for a career position in a travel agency as compared to operating as an independent and /or home-based agent.
Prerequisite: RD090 and WR090, each with a grade of "C" or better, or placement above stated course levels; and basic computer skills.
