HT245 :  EcoTourism and Adventure Travel

Successful tourism development is dependent on a balance of economic growth and the protection of the environment. Ecotourism introduces students to this important field of the travel industry. This class will explore ecotourism's origins, philosophy, viability, impact and future, and its application in the industry through adventure travel programs.
Prerequisite: RD090, WR090 and MTH020, each with a grade of "C" or better; or placement above stated course levels.
