IM178:  Integrated Media Overview

This course establishes a foundation for developing integrated media projects by engaging students in the critique of a wide range of digital media involving video, sound, design, and photography. Students study both historic and contemporary media and learn to identify the audience, the aesthetic qualities and the communication motives behind image-making and storytelling. Students work in small groups as they deconstruct media and deliver presentations that apply the vocabulary and media literacy tenets used in critical assessment.
