WL150 :  Foundations of Experiential Education and Leadership

This course is designed to introduce students to the historical background, philosophy and fundamentals of adventure education as well as leadership. Students learn about experiential education, outdoor leadership theory, leadership styles, expedition behavior, decision-making skills and risk management in outdoor education.
Prerequisite: RD090, WR090 and MTH020, each with a grade of "C" or better; or placement above stated course levels. Concurrent enrollment in WL130 is required.
