WL295 :  Advanced Challenge Course Facilitation

The course begins with a brief review of the history, purpose and application of challenge courses before transitioning to specific activities involved with a challenge course. Topics include equipment, element safety, belay techniques, activity introduction and framing, spotting techniques, instructor awareness, activity variations, inspection, maintenance, emergency procedures, participant screening, accident reporting and rescue skills. Students are also introduced to advanced facilitation and debriefing techniques. Upon successful completion of course and examination students will be certified as ACCT Level 1 Facilitators.
Prerequisite: WL110 and WL150.
