The office of Student Life located in the College Center supports countless programs, clubs, and events that provide an engaging social, cultural and educational experience for students. The following opportunities eagerly await you!

Associated Student Government (ASG)

The ASG is the official voice of the Associated Students at MHCC. ASG is divided into three functions, the Executive Cabinet, Student Senate, and Student Activities Board. Each group has a different purpose but all provide students with an exciting and engaging leadership position. All ASG leaders receive Tuition Waivers for their involvement.

Speech and Debate (Forensics Team)

MHCCs forensics program is one of the best in the Northwest. Students on the forensics team compete in regional and national forensics tournaments to hone their debating skills. Students on the forensics team receive talent grants for their participation.

Student Publications

Advocate is the weekly MHCC school newspaper funded by student fees and entirely managed, produced and run by students. Whether you interest is writing, photography, or editing the Advocate could be the perfect fit for you. Advocate leaders receive tuition waivers for their involvement.

Perceptions Literary Magazine serves as an annual literary magazine that is written, edited, and produced by students. Perceptions involves students from the journalism and graphic design programs. Some students involved with perceptions receive talent grants.

Venture Magazine a by-annual publication accentuates the Advocate by providing students an opportunity to conduct in depth investigative reporting. Some students involved with Venture receive talents grants for their contribution.

X-58 "Real College Radio" is run through the Integrated media Program at MHCC. With the goal of pleasing all listeners with its monster playlist of likable songs from a variety of genres.

Student Clubs & Organizations Initiated by students for students, student clubs provide crucial leadership opportunities for a large number of students. Student clubs can be started based on nearly any students interest. Once established, ASG provides funding to support programs sponsored by clubs. Full list of clubs.
