MHCC Hosts Volleyball Championship

The Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) Saints will host the NWAACC conference volleyball championship tournament, Nov. 18 – 21 at the Gresham Campus, 26000 SE Stark Street.
The Saints, who are undefeated in the Southern region and 33-7 overall, will play their first match at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 18. If the Saints win, their second game will be played at 12:30 p.m. the following day. The championship game is scheduled for Nov. 21 at 3 p.m.
“We have already clinched the Southern Region Championship and will compete at the NWAACC Championship against the top 16 teams (the top 4 from each region),” says Head Coach Chelsie Speer. The Saints are members of NWAACC, the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges.
The NWAACC tournament will also include Sophomore All Star games – North versus South and East versus West. Teams will compete at 10:30 a.m. and noon on Nov. 21.
Admission to the tournament is $20 for a four-day pass, $8 for adults, $5 for students, seniors, staff and military, and $3 for kids 7 – 12 years old. Admission is free for kids six years old and under.
