8th Annual Powwow, Nov. 12

The eighth annual Kanawaksooma (Quiet Thunder) Celebration is coming to Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) Saturday, Nov. 12, noon to 10 p.m. This cultural celebration offers traditional Native American music, dance, crafts, food and cultural enrichment for the whole family.

Chako Kum Tux, MHCC’s Native American student club, welcomes the public to this free event. The powwow will be held at the MHCC gym, located on the Gresham Campus, 26000 SE Stark St. (enter on 17th St). Parking is free at all lots by the gym.
