MHCC Hosts NWAACC Volleyball Championships Nov. 17 - 20

Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) will host the NWAACC volleyball championships Nov. 17 – 20 on the Gresham Campus, 26000 S.E. Stark St.
Tournament play for the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) will begin at 9 a.m. The MHCC Saints, co-champions of the Southern Region with the Linn-Benton Roadrunners, will play their first game at 11:30 a.m., against Clark College.
Tickets are $20 for a tournament pass; adults - $6 per day; students, seniors and military - $5 per day; children 7 – 12 years old - $3 per day; and children six and under - free. Parking is free.
The MHCC Saints are coached by Chelsie Speer. MHCC middle blocker Demi Belshe was recently named to the NWAACC All-Academic volleyball team. In order to receive this recognition, athletes must be a sophomore in eligibility, have earned a minimum of 36 credits, maintain a cumulative 3.25 grade point average (she maintains a 3.6 GPA) and be recommended by the College.
