MHCC Hosts Annual Regional High School Art Exhibit and 2012 Culture Shapers Award

Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) is pleased to host the annual High School Art Exhibit, April 2 – 26, in the Visual Arts Gallery on the Gresham Campus, 26000 SE Stark St.
Entries from area high school students will be evaluated for originality, technical skill, composition/use of elements and emergence of personal vision and voice. The coveted Culture Shapers Award will be given to the student who best exhibits exceptional leadership, artistic vision and service to the community. Selected artworks will be exhibited weekdays, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. An opening reception will be held April 5, 5 – 8 p.m., during which awards will be presented at 7 p.m. All events will be held in the Visual Arts Gallery, located on the east side of the campus.
Parking permits are required on the Gresham Campus (except during the reception when parking is free) and may be purchased for $3 from ticket kiosks by the gym and flagpoles.
