Youth Invited to Learn about Business
at MHCC Summer Camp

Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) and Project Youth Employability Support Services (YESS) will host the Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) and Project Youth Employability Support Services (YESS) will host the 4th Annual Youth Summer BizCamp, Aug. 20-23, for kids ages 16-21.
Participants will create their own business plans, attend seminars led by MHCC business instructors and learn how to raise money and sell products. Participants will also tour successful small businesses in the area.
After forming their business ideas, inspiring entrepreneurs will receive feedback from BizCamp coaches on how to improve their plans. At the end of the program, youth can expect to have a better understanding of the business world and how to make their dreams a reality.
The Youth Summer BizCamp will run 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., at MHCC’s Gresham Campus, 26000 S.E. Stark St. The cost is $95 per participant; student sponsorships are available for those unable to cover the cost. Sponsorships are first come, first served based on when the application is submitted. Applications and reservations for this event are due by 5 p.m., Aug. 15 at the Project YESS office, located in the lower level of the College Center.
The camp is also looking for coaches to mentor and guide students through their business aspirations. Volunteers can commit any amount of time to the program they wish.
