MHCC’s Summer Camp – the Ultimate Adventure for Kids

Posted: March 26, 2013

Registration for Mt. Hood Community College’s (MHCC) Summer Adventure Camp will open April 1 for kids 7 to 16 years old.

During each one-week camp, kids will have an opportunity to participate in activities such as rock climbing, swimming and navigating with a compass. Campers will also have a chance to play board games and do arts and crafts, science projects and many group activities.

“The Adventure Camp turns kids’ ordinary summer into an extraordinary adventure with experiences they usually wouldn’t get to do, such as finding crawdads, learning how to swim and playing chess,” says Katie Heilsberg, the Aquatic Center’s program assistant who oversees the camp.

All camp days are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Early drop-off and late pickup options are available for parents with busy schedules.
