Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) student Skyler Blair will have a solo exhibit of his artistic creations, “After the Object,” June 5 – 27 in the Fireplace Gallery.

The gallery is located in the Student Union on the Gresham Campus, 26000 S.E. Stark St. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Parking on all MHCC campuses is free, no permit required.

Of his work, Blair says, “Fear of what we don't know or understand has always dictated our choices, likes and dislikes. Objects have a certain stigma to be understood and classified. We all feel more comfortable around objects that have been labeled and named. Once a name has been found for an unknown object it is washed of its depth to understand it further. Are all tangible things now misunderstood?”
