Get Help with Financial Aid Form on ‘FAFSA Fridays’
Posted: January 31, 2014
Need help filling out the required form for financial aid?
No worries! Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) will hold “FAFSA Fridays” for the third straight year to assist students with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
“The time to apply for financial aid is now. Students can save themselves time and stress by doing one very important thing – applying early,” advises Christi Hart, Financial Aid manager. Students must submit the application each year to receive financial aid from federal and state governments.
Help will be offered each Friday, Feb. 14 – June 13 (except March 28), 2 – 3:30 p.m., in the Orientation Center, Room AC1002 on the Gresham Campus. Staff from the Financial Aid office and volunteers will be available to provide one-on-one assistance to anyone who needs help filling out the FAFSA online.
What to bring
Students should bring their 2012 IRS Tax returns, 2013 end-of-year pay stubs (if 2013 tax returns are not yet completed), current value of assets, Social Security card (and those of their parents, if student is dependent), driver’s license or state ID and alien registration card (if needed).
