Working together!Safety at Mt. Hood Community College should be of concern to everyone. Students, staff and faculty are partners with the college in creating an atmosphere that is safe and encourages learning. MHCC is a diverse community within a community. During the school year we have more than 26,000 students and over 1,200 full-time and part-time employees working together. At the same time the college is very much a part of Gresham, East Multnomah County and Oregon. MHCC enjoys good relations with the city of Gresham and neighboring Troutdale, and serves as a primary cultural center in the East County area. MHCC plays a major role in providing a safe learning environment, but recognizes that students, staff and faculty must come together in a strong partnership and use common sense precautions to reduce the opportunity for criminal activities. |
