Career Pathways
What is a career pathway?
-
A career pathway is a series of linked educational programs that gives you the opportunity to advance to higher levels of employment in a given industry or occupational area.
-
Each step on a career pathway prepares you to progress to the next level
of employment and education.
-
Trainings are offered in an intensive, short-term format -- usually two
terms or six months.
-
Career pathways target jobs in industries of
importance to the local economy.
-
They create avenues of advancement for workers
already in their fields and for new workers for local employers.

How long will it take?
Career Pathways Trainings are offered in an intensive, short-term format--usually
two terms or six months. You can gain the skills to jumpstart your career in
just half a year.
How far can I go?
You decide how far you want to go. The first training gives you a competitive
edge when applying for an entry-level position. As you take each step in your
career pathway, more coursework will give you an advantage as you apply for
better positions. These courses can eventually lead to an Associate Degree
- or even beyond!
Where are you in your educational and work plans? Where would you like to
be in your career? Here are some of the ways you can create your path at Mt.
