Medical Assistant
Medical Assisting requires competency in both clinical and administrative skills for careers in doctor’s offices and other healthcare settings. This program prepares the student to perform a wide range of duties including preparing the patient for the exam, giving injections, processing lab specimens, working the reception desk, assisting the physician, and numerous other functions in the ever-changing modern medical facility.
The medical assistant may be employed in a variety of settings; medical centers, HMOs, government healthcare facilities, chiropractic clinics, and specialized medical offices.
