High School Dual Credit

College Now

College Now is Mt. Hood Community College 's Dual Credit program. MHCC, in cooperation with MHCC district high schools, offers high school students the opportunity to earn MHCC college credit while enrolled in high school.

Credits can be earned in both lower-division college transfer courses (LDT) and professional-technical courses (CTE (Career & Technical Education)). The procedure for earning credit may be through completion of course standards as approved by MHCC instructional staff or as detailed in program articulation agreements. For further information for LDT courses please call 503-491-6980, and for CTE (Career & Technical Education) course information call 503-491-6991.

Lower division transfer (LDT) credit is credit that counts towards a bachelor's degree in areas such as history, literature, math or science.

CTE (Career & Technical Education) credit is credit that counts towards one of the associate of applied science programs such as early childhood education, computer applications or automotive service technology.

Earned credit will be transcripted on the MHCC permanent record. Earning MHCC credit at district high schools does not automatically enroll a person in a MHCC certificate or degree program. MHCC admissions procedures and requirements must still be met.
