Student Activities Board

The Student Activities Board is a group of student programming committees who have fun planning and executing activities of benefit to the students of MHCC. Each committee is headed by a student coordinator who is assisted by other students interested in enriching their college experience. One or two social science credits may be earned by being a part of the SAB.
Committees include:

Seasonal Events Coordinator –Amee
Taylor - responsible for major events such as Welcome Week, Halloween, Valentines
Day, Charter Day, and Rites of Spring.

Performance and Entertainment Coordinator – Juan
Segundo - This position hosts a variety of events including: Welcome Week,
Movies, Ping Pong, Racquetball and Pool Tournaments, a comedy series, concerts,
and other similar events.

Health and Wellness Coordinator – Andrew
Fries - facilitates and coordinates programs related to health and wellness
for the MHCC campus community. Such events include Red Cross Blood Drives,
and Wellness Fair.

Multicultural Program Coordinator – Natlie
Dutro - coordinates programs to honor and celebrate the diverse ethnic
cultures present in our community. Also assists with the implementation of
programs such as Black History Month, Day of the Dead Celebration, Milagro
Theater, Cinco De Mayo.

Receptions Coordinator –Jenifer
Mansfield - plans, coordinates, and promotes Night Student Receptions,
Unsung Hero Receptions, and Spring Dinner Dance.

Administrative Chairperson – Craig
Caswell assumes responsibility for the functions of the Student Activities
Board, including assisting the five student activities coordinators in developing
and implementing a comprehensive student activities program.

Administrative Assistant-
Geneva Jackson- Assists with organization and the development of all SAB
events, and plays a crucial role in keeping the events on track.

A student serving as the Student Activities Board chairperson is responsible for the development and coordination of the activities and programs of the board. All of the student coordinators are hired at the end of spring term and serve in their positions through spring term of the following school year. Tuition reimbursements are awarded for satisfactory completion of position at the end of each term. Must have a minimum of a 2.0 cumulative GPA. The Student Activities Board is located in the College Center, Room 1053. You are welcome to stop by and become a part of this friendly group!
