Juanita Loveland
Registered Cosmetologist / Registered Cosmetology Instructor

Juanita has taught in the Mt. Hood Community College Cosmetology Program for 24 years. She has earned an AAS degree.

Juanita is a former owner and operator of several successful salons which include locations in Gresham and Central Oregon (Prineville). Her professional resume includes positions as nail technician, esthetician, hair stylist as well as salon manager.

Juanita Loveland has been a member of the National Cosmetology Association (NCA) for over 15 years. Of her many roles with the NCA she has served as association secretary.

In addition to her full time teaching responsibilities in the cosmetology program, Juanita also uses her professional knowledge and expertise to instruct Funeral Science Majors in hair, makeup and nails. A vital and important part of the FSE curriculum.

Marty Castellanos
Registered Cosmetologist / Registered Cosmetology Instructor

Marty has over 15 years of experience in the field of cosmetology. He has a proven track record as a stylist, educator, and businessman. He is adept at identifying, developing, and delivering student-oriented learning models. These continually positive events have led him to pursue his love of community college instruction.
As a salon owner / stylist, Marty has achieved the following goals and accolades:

Certified as Master Colorist
Successfully designed, built and currently manages a four-chair salon/gallery
Conducted on-site salon workshops presenting/teaching current and cutting edge trends and color master techniques to licensed hairstylists across the western United States
Continues to provide services to a loyal clientele, many of whom he has served for over a decade.
Invited as a return advisor to multiple annual shows.
Trained other educators.

Denise L. DAngelo
Registered Cosmetologist / Registered Cosmetology Instructor

Denises adventures in the beauty industry began in 1985, as a nail artist. Her path has led her many different directions. Once she experienced her first taste in the salon she decided to continue her education in hair design, barbering, and esthetics; and even into a teacher-training program.

Denise began her journey as a master educator over twenty years ago. As a Cosmetology Instructor at Mt. Hood Community College, she brings a unique balance of dynamic presentation skills, precise technical skills, and artistic abilities to all of her classes.

She brings a true passion for people, and the beauty industry as a whole to every class. Denise has practical experiences in all facets of the beauty industry including; successfully training students just learning their craft, as well as seasoned beauty industry professionals.

Denise is an award winning nail technician, hair designer, and makeup artist. Her makeup artistry has been published internationally, and most recently she received a North American Hairdressers Award (NAHA; NAHA 19 Salon Team Winner, 2008), as the makeup artist for Capello Salon.
