Your Instructors

MHCC's visual art faculty are active, practicing artists themselves. Through gallery exhibitions, workshops, field trips and special activities, the act of making art is at the core of the visual art department. Students have opportunities to visit galleries, attend the monthly First Thursday openings in downtown Portland, hear visiting artist presentations and to take part in art-making such as the recent Iron Pour in the sculpture area.
