MHCCs very own, Stephen Mickey, continues to have professional success as one of his tea bowls was juried into the Strictly Functional Pottery National exhibit out of 980 hopefuls. Less than a hundred were chosen.
“Clearly, quite remarkable work is being done, and it's always an honor to see and respond to a cross-section of creative voices in the ceramics field… I came away from the experience feeling buoyantly confident about the "health" of the pottery being done in our community of clay loving folks! Fresh ideas and the spirit of inquiry were so apparent in the pots I saw…” John Glick 2005 Juror
