Independent Study OptionsExploration of advanced topics and media in the visual arts is handled through Independent Studies contracts made in consultation with full-time faculty members. Students wishing to take an independent studies/special studies class must meet with a full-time art instructor of their choice and jointly fill out the special studies contract (available from the Visual Arts secretary) for submission to the registration office. There may be a lab fee assessed. Credit hour options follow this formula: 1 credit= 33 hours, 2 credits = 66 hours, 3 credits = 99 hours. Project Description must include objectives to be completed by the student and the methods for evaluating performance. One can not duplicate objectives specified in any other scheduled course.
