Welcome to Independent Study!
Independent Study students are required to attend an orientation for their particular class in the first week of the quarter. During this mandatory orientation meeting you will receive important information concerning the structure of your independent study class. You will learn about testing procedures, due dates for materials, and strategies for success in independent study classes. In addition, in most classes you will receive important written documents such as the course syllabus. The orientation also provides you with an opportunity to meet your instructor and see where you will take your tests and turn in your course work. If you are unable to attend the orientation meeting, contact your instructor.
