The Saints are members of the NWAACC, a compilation of 34 community colleges in Washington and Oregon. As members of the Southern Region, the Saints have won numerous region championships. Entering the 2007-08 year, the team is trying to win the regions top spot for the 5th time in the past 6 years. Over the past 5 years, the Saints have won more games than any other NWAACC team, have placed 2nd, 5th and 8th in the NWAACC tournament and are looking forward to another great season this year. Several players have graduated from MHCC and continue their education and athletic experience at four year programs. Many Div I programs keep watch as the Saints players develop skills and attitudes that enable both the players and the team to be successful. The Saints continue to work to recruit local players with much of the success in recent years the result of the local high programs.

| The team has enjoyed traveling to Southern California and Utah and competing in tournaments which allow the team to see new places and compete with teams that are traditionally very strong. The Saints teams continue the strong tradition built by previous coaches and players. The building blocks consist of strong academics, solid citizenship, and excellent basketball skills. The goals of the program are a 100% graduation rate, team unity, and striving to be the best basketball player one can be. If a player is successful at Mt Hood, there is a very good chance they will be able to have the next two years of school paid for! Using a team oriented offense and defense, study halls, weight training, and community service, MHCC Men's Basketball program builds the entire person. Student athletes who are interested in being a part of this program should contact the coaches. Walk-ons are welcome, and are given every opportunity to succeed. |
