1st Year Graphic Design Supply List

T-SQUARE:Metal, 24-30 inches. No rulers on it. Beveled edges if possible.

TRIANGLES: Plastic, see-through, no rulers printed on them.
(1) 45-45-90 and (1) 30-60-90 degree.

CALCULATOR

RULERS: 18 inch steel (inches), 18 inch white plastic (picas and points) with halftone screens on it

PAPER: Tablet: White Layout Paper 14 by 17 inches. (or non-bleed marker paper).
Pad of tracing paper or translucent vellum.

CUTTING TOOLS: Pair of good scissors and #1 X-acto knife: and #11 blades.
Package of 5.

TAPES: Scotch repositionable clear (1/2 inch) and white artists (graphics) 3/4 inch.

MEDIA: 50 CDR disks and 1 GIG "thumb" or "pin" drive or DVDs

MARKERS: Fine point and regular nib black and grays.

ADHESIVES: 3M Spray Mount adhesive, (repositionable) and Spray 77 (permanent)

SOLVENT: pint can of Bestine rubber cement thinner.

ERASERS: kneaded and white vinyl.

PENCILS: 4H, 2H, HB, 2B, 4B.

BRUSHES: Fine pointed sable brush size .00.

CUTTING BOARD: self healing with grid, 9 x 12 inches minimum.

MATT BOARD: 3 full sheets black matt for mounting projects.

JOURNAL: 9 by 12 Blank journal.

BINDER: Large, three ring binder to hold handouts, assignments.

CONTAINERS: Inexpensive cardboard or fabric portfolio case. 18"X24"
