JD directs the Radio Broadcasting program and teaches many of the classes. This fall, he collaborated with other Integrated Media faculty to teach ART279: Integrated Media Survey, IM179: Digital Tools and Workflow and IM260: Professional Practice in Integrated Media. He brings extensive experience in sound recording, digital audio production, producing and editing having worked in many capacities in the film and broadcasting industries. A graduate of Montana State University, his degree is in film and theatre arts. He most recently was a partner at Blue Dog Recording in Portland where he edited film and video for edits and designs sound for pictures and provides sound engineering for both music and radio clients. JD has worked on a broad range of projects; and for clients ranging from Nike and Infocus to musicians such as Leroy Vinnegar and Jerry Hahn. In addition to instructing the digital audio production classes that feature Digidesign's ProTools software, JD serves as Club Advisor for the student radio station, KMHC.

Steve Pringle
Steve teaches the Broadcast Practices classes for Fall 2006. Currently at KINK, Steve started at KUFO, moved to KGON and KNRK, skipped over to KUPL and did mornings and overnights for six years at KKJZ. He hosts a Blues show (since 1994) at KMHD (89.1 f.m.) called The Friday Freeway Blues (Fridays at 4p.m.) and has taught for Mt. Hood Community College's Radio Program for three years.

Kevin Welch
Kevin is the Music Director at KINK FM. In the past 20 years, Kevin has worked as air talent, music director, news director and production director at stations in the Northwest. Kevin hosts KINK's Local Music Spotlight and Trance Formation. Kevin graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Telecommunications and Film. He teaches the second year Radio Traffic class.

Jeff Young
Jeff is our own "professor emeritus" of the Radio Broadcasting program. He directed MHCC's program for over 17 years, and retired from full time teaching in August, 2005. Since then, he has traveled the world, and occasionally returns to teach a class. He teaches RB110: Introduction to Radio Broadcasting in the Fall.

Doug Zanger
Doug is the Creative Director for Entercom Portland, one of the largest radio broadcasting companies in the United States. He's an award-winning writer and ad-man and teaches the second-year Broadcast Advertising Practices course.
